Position 38:54.90N 01:13.2E Cala Badella

The crew have control of ‘Blue Magic’ today.

After our morning swim we headed off around the coast to Cala Badella, a small Cala tucked inside high, wooded cliffs.

Julie is at the helm, Joselyn is in charge of the anchor ball and Stuart and Rob are fishing for lunch – we have put our feet up !

Great excitement ensued as Stuart caught five impressive Spanish mackerel, in quick succession, for lunch, poor Rob is feeling a bit dejected as he hasn’t had even a nibble.

The Cala was very small and the crew took out the stern anchor in the dinghy so that we didn’t swing into the cliffs.

There was even more excitement when we dinghyed to the beach and were met by more friends, Tricia and Kenneth along with Kenneth’s twin brother Patrick, his wife Denise and daughter Lucy, who are all on holiday in Ibiza.

A quick dash to the supermarket and we served lunch on board for all eleven of us. The mackerel was delicious !

Tricia is a great organiser and we were soon booked into the yacht club at San Antonio to join them all for dinner that evening. Tricia then took up the position of additional crew and stayed on board for our sail around into San Antonio Bay, providing the tour guide commentary as only Tricia can.

So good to catch up with more friends !
