The marina staff and Baobob marine staff have been absolutely wonderful !

Blue Magic was lifted out first thing on Wednesday 14^th July, scrubbed off and chocked up ready for us to clean the prop and change the anodes.

Baobob marine were waiting for us and soon had scaffold around the boat and a whole gang of workers, smooting out scratches, buffing and polishing the blue hull.

One of the workers dived under to check the position of the lifting strops.

Mark checks the copper bottom which has stayed amazingly clean since it was put on in January 2008 to save any more of that messy and expensive anti fouling !

Winter maintenance suddenly didn’t seem so bad in the shade of a nice palm tree with the sun shining and all over in a day !

The Baobob marine team worked late into the evening and we booked into the local hotel (£25 per night for a double room) and had a massage after our days work !

The boat is now back in the water and gleaming.

I am busily catching up with Blogs whilst we have the luxury of internet.

Mark is asleep in the cockpit.

Our taxi is booked for 5.00am tomorrow to meet the girls from the airport – hurray !
