This is our driver Sana, on the right, and our guide Andrew, on the left, who looked after us for our four day tour.

On our last day we visited the elephant orphanage at Pinewala.

It was a magical visit as we watched the elephants walk down to the river for ‘bath time’.

The elephants wandered free in the river, some families with babies, some just wallowing in the cool water and the younger ones playing with each other.

We spent a couple of hours just mesmerised by them, taking lots of photos.
