Sheena & Emily arrive at Blue Magic in Kos Harbour this evening and we stay a couple of days in Kos so that they can shop, beach, swim and enjoy the Greek restaurants.

They also enjoyed a reunion with Gavin & Lica, who they met last year in Spinalonga, Crete.

Thursday 23^rd August

A nice sail for a few hours to Nisiros, the Volcano Island, where we moored stern too on the Quay at Paloi, a delightful place.

Next day we hired bikes and headed off to see the volcanic crater which is still active. Sheena re lived her biker days and took Emily on the back of her bike.

There were a lot of windy mountain roads to navigate up and back down to the crater so quite a challenge since it has been over 30 years since she rode a bike, but she managed it with style !

The volcanic crater below us and Mark and Sheena stood on the rim of the crater.

We also took a tour of the little mountain villages where we stopped for much needed refreshment as it was a very hot day.

Below is a photo of the Harbour at Paloi, it was lucky we stopped to take this photo as we noticed that our anchor has failed and Blue Magic was rubbing against the quayside.

A quick dash to reset the anchor before we continued our tour !
