We mainly motored overnight to arrive in Raiatea around 8.00am this morning.

Then a fry up breakfast and back to bed for a few hours catch up !

We are in a lovely bay although the rain showers are pretty consistent.

Tomorrow we plan to motor up through the lagoon to Uturoa, the main town and stay a couple of nights before we motor on through the lagoon pass

 to another island called Tahaa which is within the same coral reef.

The scenery is still stunning – very green and lush which is hardly surprising with all the rain showers they have !

I may be painting the wrong picture – it is not cold and raining, we are still in bikinis and swimming shorts and the rain is warm.

In fact it is quite a nice relief when it rains and it saves us having to wash the boat off !
