Biscay Triangle Arrival at Torquay

We arrived at 1.00am Sunday morning after 16 hours of wonderful sailing with the wind on the nose and very confused seas.

A shredded furling line and a leaking hatch all added to the excitement and we left a trail of vomit all the way which is proving rather difficult to wash off our beautiful decks much to the dismay of our Captain !

It was certainly good for Katie’s diet and she can’t complain any more that she isn’t sailing enough.

It is a lovely sunny day today and we are just quaffing some cold champagne while we discuss safety briefings for the next trip which is three days at sea from Torquay to La Coruna in Northern Spain.

We finally found the emergency tiller after a long shindig with Mark & Tom under the mattress in the aft cabin – very suspicious !

The weather forecast is for a rather boring trip across Biscay to Spain on Tuesday with light winds and maybe motor sailing. The crew are secretly very happy about this and looking forward to some sunbathing and pleasant reading.

We are going out on the town tonight to experience the delights of eating in Torquay.
