On Tuesday we bumped into Roy and Sally, some friends from Hythe and they are also headed for the Mediterranean – what a small world !

We spent a lovely leisurely afternoon with Roy & Sally and their friends Bob & Mandy drinking Pimms aboard ‘Rowanda’ and exchanging stories whilst escaping from the relentless rain. Bob and Mandy kindly invited us for ‘drinks’ at 12 midday and we finally left at 5pm after lots of drinks and a delicious lunch – we hoped that we didn’t outstay our welcome !

We repaid their kindness a little by entertaining them for pre dinner drinks on Wednesday along with David and Sandra.  

They all departed this morning for the next port and we hope to meet up with them again at some point further South.
