Seisia
We were taken ashore in style on Jackamy’s brand new
dinghy and we all got completely drenched ! There was no landing pontoon and so we beached the dinghy
and pulled it out of the water quickly, as crocodiles have been reported here
too ! Paul’s new GT model has landing wheels amongst all the
other ‘extras’ ! Seisia is the very far tip of It was very desolate with lots of 4WD’s parked up
presumably reaching the end of their trail up the We were pleasantly surprised to find a well stocked
supermarket which was a bit like an oasis in the desert as there were no other signs
of any community. There was however a campsite for trekers where we managed to
get a delicious burger at the kiosk, which was manned by one young girl, so a
lengthy wait. Unfortunately no internet (I have lots of photos for the
blog) and no telephone signal either. A fantastic, peaceful nights sleep and at 7.30am we headed
off for Port Essington, 615 miles away. ETA sometime on Thursday 30th September |
