Sunshine and Cycling

We woke to a beautiful sunny day and we have been cycling
along a coastal track through pine forests and ferns that regularly opens up to
small ploughed allotments with dark, rich soil planted with potatoes. Every now
and then the track would turn again to give us fantastic views across the
harbour and out to sea. Such an amazing contrast to If only I had remembered my camera ! So we are going
to take the route again tomorrow for some pics. The Yacht Club is very welcoming and the Spanish grand prix is
currently on the television, so I think we may saunter up to the club house at
2pm and spend the afternoon watching the race, along with the Spanish. We have checked out the weather forecast and there is not
much wind about for the next few days, more importantly the swell has decreased
from 3m to 1.5m, much nicer ! We plan to stay here tomorrow to visit the supermarket,
which is closed on Sunday, and then head off to Ria De Arosa on Tuesday, a trip
of around 40 miles. There are several marinas and anchorages in the Ria with
lots of small beaches and harbours, we will probably head for the marina at Villagarcia
for provisioning, water and electric (we like our home comforts!) and
then, if the weather is settled, it would be nice to try one of the anchorages
in the Ria. |
