0500 It has been a lovely sunny day and a beautiful moonlit night.

The full moon is illuminating the night sky and making the water glisten, we are gliding along at 8 knots and we have just passed the 1000 mile barrier – only another 2000 to go !

The wind is settled and we have been on the same tack for 24 hrs without any adjustment to the sails.

It was our turn to do the roll call today and report positions, it went very well, we were able to hear most yachts very clearly.

The countdown from Ashley & Mark was very tense as usual…..hair, makeup, lights, 10 seconds to go 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2 and go !

..and so I start the roll call spluttering with laughter !
