Blue Magic seemed even keener than us to leave the confines of the marina and head for open water.

With her new ensign flying proudly and her sails filled she ‘picked up her skirts’ and took off at a steady 8-9 knots towards Rhodes.

We had a cracking sail all day and arrived in Lindos Bay at 4pm where we dropped anchor and swam before getting ready for Gemma & Dan to come aboard for drinks and then dinner ashore in a local Taverna, our first taste of Greece.

We are very excited to welcome our first guests, especially Gemma & Dan since we missed their engagement earlier in the year.

There is a bottle of champagne in the fridge which has been waiting for our safe return to the Med – so it can be a joint celebration !
