It’s 9.30am on Good Friday and we hope you are all enjoying your Easter Hols.

We have been turned out of Guernsey for loitering in all the wi fi spots (mainly pubs) and we are at sea about 12 miles from the tip of Guernsey. It’s cold and raining so we are inside with the hatch shut against the elements.

I am at the chart table keeping watch out for lobster pots and Mark is having a kip.

We are motor sailing as the wind has miraculously come around to be on the nose again and we want to keep up our speed so that we arrive in France before it is too dark, ETA 2030 tonight.

Mark has just gone out to furl the genoa as it is flapping, we hope the wind is coming right round as forecast so that we can sail again later.

We had Bill & Sue from ‘Camomile’ over last night, to help us eat some of our chocolates, as it is probably the last time we will see them now before Gibralter in October. Poor Sue had given up chocolate for lent, but we made up for Sue !

Our destination today is L’AberWrach in North Britanny where we plan to stay for a couple of nights before sailing on to Cameret around the corner near Brest.

We are trying out the sea sick relief watches today, I put mine on and turned it on full power and it nearly made me jump through the ceiling ! I am now on power level 1 and feeling good !

Mark must be ok too as he is making bacon sandwiches now.

Position Updates

Unfortunately our automatic position update is not working and after several tests yesterday with Ed, the comms bloke, we have decided the antennae is broken and they are sending us a new one for Paul to bring out to La Rochelle.

So apologies, our position update is me entering our long and lat and that is not always very accurate as you will have noticed if you checked us out in Guernsey where we were on the rocks !
