We have decided that the mystery seafood dish is razor clams and they seem to be a delicacy of the Galacia region in Spain.

Mark went to the office to settle our mooring fees last night and we had to produce the original ships papers and both our passports.

The lady in the office obviously had a sense of humour because when Mark said it was a bit over the top since we are in the EU, she replied

“ Yes, but only when you want to be” !

We left at 7.30am and as we sailed out of the Ria de Muro a huge rainbow appeared from one edge of the harbour to the other and we sailed right under it and out to sea, spectacular.

The photos don’t give it justice !

We had a good sail down the coast and into the Ria de Arosa.

This Ria is beautiful and we took lots of photos as we sailed up the river to the Marina in Villagarcia.

There are lots of islands within the Ria, the largest being Isla de Arosa, which is joined to the mainland via a bridge. There are a couple of anchorages off the island where we plan to stay tomorrow night as they look lovely.

Bridge to Isla Arosa                                                              Viveros

There are lots and lots of viveros anchored across the entrance to the island, which are floating mussel rafts, so it will be interesting finding a path between them!

This is the narrow entrance to the marina, on the starboard side of the harbour wall as you enter is a half sunk ship.

The marina staff here are very helpful and accommodating.
