Following
rumours circulating the island that Raratonga were about to apply to host the
2030 World Cup, two executive members of the Southampton Munch Club took the
opportunity to visit the all seated stadium. Capacity 726. The delegation were also invited to inspect the pitch which
is currently undergoing extensive renovation. The new drainage system was discussed in detail with head
grounds man ‘Teariki Mateariki’ After the visit the executive members retired to the
Saltwater Café for the inaugural Cook Island Munch Club lunch, during which
twinning possibilities were discussed. Apologies were received from absent founder member
