We are currently sailing through the Van Dieman Gulf – sounds ominous but we have timed the passage and we have a couple of knots of favourable tide and no whirlpools or overfalls.

All the Blue Water Rally boats have now began to converge as we get closer to Darwin.

During last night and this morning we have been joined by Bionic, Aspen, Enchantress, Lucy Alice, Miss Tippy, Bali Blue and Jackamy so we have ourselves a convoy !

We have decided to continue direct to Darwin with the rest of the fleet and our ETA is around 8.30pm this evening (10hrs to go).

We have our mussel cleaning arranged for tomorrow afternoon after which we have to wait for 14 hrs before we enter the marina, so that will be on Sat morning.

Then it will be all systems go – checking out at customs, applying for Indonesian clearance, finding a sailmaker for some minor repairs to our headsails, sourcing a part for the furlex drum & fixing it, servicing the engine & generator, Laundry and provisioning …..oh dear,  think I need to go and lay down just thinking about it !
