On Sunday we had a welcome ceremony on the quay where we were treated to a wonderful selection of all the local fruits,

and in the evening we had a Hima’a which is a traditional feast of pig wrapped in banana leaves and roasted

all day in a pit in the ground.

We were also entertained by the local men and women who performed their ‘pig dance’ for us accompanied by a group playing

traditional drums made of complete tree trunks ornately carved.
