The concert in the Roman Theatre at Phaselis was brilliant although we were surprised to see that it was not well attended.

We were entertained by the Antalya State Opera and Ballet Orchestra along with three male Base singers and three lady Sopranos singing a mixture of classics from Puccini, Carmen, Mozart and Giovanni to La Bamba, Hello Dollly and Those were the days.

Those were the days my friend sung in Turkish by three base singers was certainly a different take on our version by good old Mary Hopkins !

The following morning we departed ahead of the invasion and motored through the approaching fleet to anchor just outside of Kemer.

Although the anchorage was very pretty Kemer is a noisy holiday resort, the town is very commercialised

and the restaurants cater for international tastes rather than local Turkish cuisine.

We had a VERY bouncy night with the wind and waves rolling into the anchorage.

The plan was to depart for the 18 mile trip to Antalya early this morning to settle into the Marina ahead of Mum & Dad arriving this afternoon.

However with 25 knot head winds and white crested waves we have decided to wait until things ease a bit before we attempt to leave.

The forecast looks promising, predicting that the wind will veer and decrease so we hope to leave by mid day.

Next stop Antalya Celeb Marina……
