Sat 23rd June 2012

It was 45 miles from Patmos to the small Island of Dhenousa, half way to Mykanos.

We sailed beautifully all the way with 20 -25 knots of wind and a rather confused sea, I have still to find my sea legs !

We crept into the anchorage as there was a wreck on the chart but we wanted to get tucked in out of the wind. We anchored in 3m of water in sand at the head of the bay, whilst the chart put us firmly on the beach !

A swim to the small sandy beach looked very inviting but the water was still a bit choppy and it was a naturalist beach so we opted for dinner and an early night instead.

We left the anchorage at 8.30am and headed back out into the wind and confused seas en route to Mykanos.
