We left the marina at Agios Nicolaos yesterday after a two month stay and motored around the corner to anchor off Elounda in Spinalonga lagoon.

A beautiful day swimming and enjoying a Greek salad lunch and a few glasses of rose on board with Paul & Derry. We took them ashore early evening where we sampled the local Giros (kebabs) before they caught the last bus back to the marina.

Jackamy has have been lifted out of the water now and they go back to the UK on Tuesday for the winter. So it was good to catch up before they left.

Today we left early to come around the headland before the wind got up. We watched the sun rise and glitter across the sea as we motored around the corner in flat seas with Cat Stevens on the speakers singing ‘Morning Has Broken’  - perfect !

It is nice to be moving again – we were beginning to get into a routine – yes ROUTINE – in the marina and you forget what delights are waiting out on the water.

I put the fishing line out this morning as there were lots of fishing boats around and I caught a fish nearly straight away. Mark slowed the boat and got the net and I reeled in a Mackerel (although it does look suspiciously like yet another tuna).

We are picking up Simon & Sophie on Monday and Katie and Charlie come out for the last week of September – then we will head North to Leros for the winter.

At the moment winter seems a long way off – it is still sunny EVERY day and just a bikini is required !
