It is so nice to be closer to home and have friends visit Hotel Blue Magic again for their holidays.

Our first visitors to Crete were Sheena and Emily.

The first night we chilled at the local pizza restaurant and the second night we hit the town !

Derry & Amy were still in the marina with their friend Jayne and so Mark escorted six women to dinner where he asked for a table for himself and his six wives !

Dinner was followed by dancing the night away, with Sheena keeping us all entertained on the dance floor.

We left the marina and spent a few days in Elounda where we anchored and swam in the lagoon and also visited the island of Spinalonga which was previously the home of a leper colony. The story of the leper colony is told in Victoria Hislop’s book ‘The Island’.

Poor Sheena must hold the record for sea sickness, despite it being quite clam she was sick as we left the marina, but she soon felt better once at anchor.

That night we were delighted to meet up with Sol Maria and we joined them for dinner ashore overlooking the lagoon.

Back to the marina for some serious sunbathing, swimming, shopping and cliff top walks into town for dinner.

The week went all too quick, we had a great time and Sheena, bless her, kept talking until the coach doors closed and we waved goodbye !
