Sailing - can we remember how?
Well, a week of hard work in the The dinghy has had a makeover and looks fantastic with it’s
new cover. Replacement halyard wheels are now fitted thanks to the
riggers, who had to remove both forestays to get access, and of course they needed
to use Marks big tool for the job too ! We have cleaned the sails and put them back on and also
cleaned and refitted everything removed prior to shipment. Although not cheap, there are plenty of chandlers and even a
West Marine to cater for all our needs here so that has been quite a luxury. Today we set sail for Rhodes, a short 50 mile hop, to anchor
in The following day we are headed for Crete which is a further
140 miles so an overnight sail to the marina in time to meet Sheena & Emily
who are staying with us on Blue Magic for the week. We are also looking forward to seeing our sailing buddies on
Jackamy and Sol Maria when we arrive in Sailing, we are sailing….the last time we were sailing
in Blue Magic we were approaching the entrance to This is the beginning of new adventures…. |
