We are in Singapore !

We are the first yachts to moor on the brand new pontoons in Keppal Bay Marina, right in the city centre with views of the cable car out to Sentosa Island, shopping malls galore and fantastic science fiction architecture every where.

What a difference to Bali marina in Indonesia !

The staff cannot be more helpful, the customs check in took less than 5 mins, then this morning we had a free newspaper delivered to the boat and tonight they delivered a gift wrapped plate of fruits and sweets.

High tech clean showers, restaurants and air conditioned rooms with comfy chairs for our rally briefings – such luxury !

Yesterday we went on the night safari at Singapore zoo which was an experience – really well done. You see most of the zoo whilst sitting on an open tram and they feed the animals in areas that are illuminated so that you can see Lions, hippos, reindeer, elephants, giraffe, leopards and much more in their natural habitat.

Tonight we went to Raffles Hotel for a Singapore sling followed by the Raffles Indian buffet dinner in the Tiffin room – well it has to be done !

Very expensive but worth it !

Luckily we can get a meal at the mall or at any food centre for less than 4 dollars ( £2) for the rest of our stay.

We have already been tempted at the mall, with cheap prices for all electronics, we have invested in a new camera so tomorrow we will be sightseeing and snapping away with our new toy – can’t wait.

Paul – your little beauty of a camera has served us well for the last 18 months and is now tucked away ready to hand back to you on our return – thank you so much we have really enjoyed using your camera and we are now looking forward to discovering some additional features on our new model.
