Church on Sunday

The customs man was head of the choir. Traditional Tongan clothing was worn, the men with straw mat skirts, the ladies with various designs of ‘skirts’ tied around their waists and the children all in pretty dresses.  

Blue Magic & Jackamy moored in Tonga, we took the dinghy and explored the bay and had a walk ashore where the local children were very interested in seeing visitors !

The town and market were interesting although supplies were limited to water melon and root vegtables.

The supermarkets were also very limited,

unless you have a passion for corned beef !

The small tin is the size we would normally buy so you

can see how enormous the other tins are.
