After an exhilarating days sailing with the twistle rig and the mainsail flying (all well reefed) and average speeds of 7.7 knots, maximum speed of 10.7 knots, surfing along the large swell, we arrived in Niue at 1730 just in time for the other boats already moored to join us on Blue Magic for sundowners !

We are enjoying our stop over in Niue – sorry no photos as promised but ‘Microsoft Outlook’ will not handshake with the island wifi apparently, despite several threats from the operator !

This is also a spectacular island made up of three layers of rock at different levels, the top being very flat. There are endless caves, arches and rock pools along the coast that we have been exploring, very different again from the other islands.

Today we planned to get up early to explore some more caves at low water – but everything is subject to change – and at this moment we are out looking for someone’s dinghy that came free and floated off to sea last night (not ours)!

I am stacking up lots of photos and stories ready to post in Tonga at the weekend – so there should be lots of blogs to catch up on.
