This morning we have been motor sailing through the first of the Cook Islands on our way to Raratonga.

We expect to arrive tomorrow morning.

We have had some advance information from ‘Natibou’ who are ahead of the fleet as they are picking up their

children in Tonga in the next few days.

They have confirmed that once you moor up the environmental people come on board and spray your boat for pests,

and they confiscate any fresh produce on board.

They also tried to take the contents of the freezer until Hans persuaded them that all the meat came from New Zealand anyway.

So, we have been dutifully eating up all our salad and vegetables that we searched so hard to find.

The guide book assures us that there is a good produce market on the island where we can stock up again before our

next three day passage.

We are preying that they don’t take all our frozen meat as we weren’t prepared for that until we get to Australia, the

freezer is still nice and full of chicken and steaks etc from Panama !

Sandie is well again and enjoying the trip, the seas are calm and we have blue skies and sunshine so we are relaxing

and enjoying the journey !
