Wednesday

Wednesday morning we had our rally briefing for the next leg and then we spent the afternoon on Miss Tippy for a diving adventure !

Ourselves and Paul & Derry (Jackamy) and Hans (Natibou) and Pete (Fai Tira) climbed aboard Miss Tippy armed with all our diving equipment to set off for a dive site around the corner in the next bay.

Sheila took control of the boat (and lent me her diving gear) while the rest of us took to the dinghys and enjoyed a dive.

There was some current running but Brian acted as an excellent guide taking us around and back to the dinghys.

I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t see any lemon sharks like Mark had previously but apparently they are only around in the mornings.

Back on Miss Tippy, Sheila refreshed us all with some lovely food and cold beers and Brian put some party tracks on the ipod.

We made a very noisy entrance back into Cooks bay, all dancing on the back of the boat !

Thursday

The scooter hire had been postponed till today to avoid the rain – big mistake !

There were seven scooters in convoy around the island which caused quite a stir - especially since it rained heavily all day.

We still had a fantastic time.

We stopped for lunch at a Tiki theatre where we were entertained with yet another dance show and sarong demonstration !

We ‘off roaded’ to try and reach the waterfall – not really a good idea with two people on a 50cc scooter.

So we abandoned the bikes and started hiking, a funny site as we all kept our crash helmets on to stay dry.

The hike was also abandoned as the mud got deeper and the undergrowth got thicker.

We had great fun and lots of laughs  !
