Monday was a long day – we all had bad heads after a ‘quick’ nightcap on Jackamy !

First we woke up to find that we had lost overboard two of the battens from our lovely shade cover overnight.

Then our stern anchor was stuck and when it eventually came free it completely covered the dinghy in black mud.

That made us late for refuelling and the attendant cut off the fuel as soon as it was his lunchtime – luckily it was just the

dinghy petrol that we missed out on.

We then tied up alongside Jackamy to transfer fuel cans and we managed to pop out a stainless steel fairlead, so then it was out with the diving gear for Paul to try and retrieve it – no luck !

Eventually we made it around to Daniels bay for a picnic on the beach and an early night, ready for our expedition to the waterfall in the morning.

The waterfall is the third highest in the world, although it is very dry at the moment as the island hasn’t had any rain for 6 months.

We left early before the heat of the day and trecked through the forest for an hour and a half before we came to a beautiful cool pool where we swam.

We then climbed over some rocks to an inner pool that was enclosed by rock face stretching up for hundreds of feet above us – spectacular !

This is me in the inner pool and below is the view when you look up.
