This is where we pass into the pacific and a toast is essential so we

ask the pilot to take the wheel whilst we organise the champagne !

 Mark opens our last bottle of ‘real’ champagne

 given to us when we left the UK in April.

It tasted good !

Our line handlers John and Sue and Geremy, who

volanteered as our fifth crew member for the

two day transit. Not forgetting our pilot who was very

smiley and guided us through the operation of the

canals and informed us about the Panama area.   

Unfortunately he couldn’t stay for the rest of our trip !
