An exciting day with 3-5 metre rollers rising up behind us and towering above the dinghy, which is on davits on the stern, then tumbling us through the water.

Lots of surfing and white water with the tops of the waves breaking as they roll along.

We are keeping fairly dry, just the odd rogue wave broadside that is picked up by the wind and blown over us.

Winds continue to be 25 to 33 knots, force 6.

If I was offered a ‘Helen McArthur’ solo trip into the Southern Ocean now, I would have to pass !

We have the sun shining and the Ipod playing ‘Happy songs’, sorry but no foody reports this time as it makes me feel too nauseous !

We are lucky to have a full moon that illuminates the night sky making the water and waves glisten magically.

Weather reports forecast a decrease in wind tomorrow which will hopefully reflect in calmer seas.
