Rodney Bat St Lucia, Sainsburys will never be the same again after buying our fresh produce from

the fruit man who visited the boat !

After leaving Rodney Bay we headed to the ‘Pitons’, two huge peaks in the South of

St Lucia that were formed when a volcano erupted hundreds of years ago.

It is a very dramatic setting amidst a National Park area.

We picked up mooring buoys together with Camomile, Jackamy, and Lucy Alice,

and tied our stern lines to trees ashore, we needed 250ft lines !

Excelsior tours arranged an afternoon tour which included the sulphur springs and natural spring baths.

The sulphur springs were very smelly (rotten eggs) bubbling pools with steam bubbling up through.

There were several natural mineral, spring baths, the local families bathed in one (below, middle) and we climbed down

to another that was fed by a hot waterfall.

We all luxuriated in the water for an hour before exploring the town and then heading back to the boats.

We established our head quarters for Excelsior tours, rescue and medical services whilst ashore !!
