After checking in at customs we walked over the road to catch a bus into the capital of St Lucia which has a large market and lots of colour.

Just as the bus was arriving a breathless Marina guy caught up with us to say that ‘Blue Magic’ was dragging anchor in the bay !

We ran all the way back to the dinghy and sped across the bay to find Bill holding the boat steady with his dinghy.

We climbed aboard and headed for the other side of the bay where we re anchored and stayed until we were happy that she was secure.

How lucky that Bill had forgotten a form for the customs and was heading back to his boat and how lucky that we didn’t get on the bus !

The rest of the day we stayed local and explored the marina shops and chandlery and we found a lovely Thai restaurant where we had dinner.

We are now officially a member of the ‘Drifters’ but we certainly don’t intend joining Jackamy in the ‘Reef Club’.

Today we are moving down to the corner of St Lucia to anchor in Soufriere near the Pitons which is supposed to be an area of outstanding natural beauty where they have sulphar springs and hot natural baths.
