We have been enjoying spending time with friends and family, the last couple of nights we anchored in Mamora Bay adjacent to St James Club, where everyone is staying, and spent the day on the beach.

Just one hitch – ‘Alfred’ keeps coming to see us in his cart, whilst we are on the beach, forcing rum punches on us.

Grand dad just can’t resist them so we have been having a spot of trouble with him…….

It seems to be the practice to reserve sun beds with towels and so for most of the day we sat on the sand whilst one young girl guarded a huge amount of beds despite no one using them. Eventually the scenario was too much and after a couple of rum punches Grand dad swam up and pinched one of the beds, swiftly followed by Matthew and Charlie.

During the next visit from the cart there was a bit of a kerfuffle when a man came to confront Dad about the beds and explained,

‘ We get up at 7am to reserve these beds’  to which Grand dad replied   ‘ I thought only the Germans used that tactic’ !
