Yesterday was non descript except for two things. In the morning we were treated with a beautiful Sunrise including purple clouds and a shining Rainbow in striking colours. Isabelle made a perfect picture which we will post as soon as we land in St Lucia.

The other thing has been bothering Isabelle for 5 days now and keeping her out of her sleep. You And it’s not the slow going, we’re used to that now. No, it is a ticking sound in the saloon. I don’t hear unless Isabelle let’s me focus on it. And yes, there it is. Clack clack clack, some sort of metal again wood. It only happens when the boat heels over, which is most of the time JYou know it is like a dripping faucet…

So after 2 days searching, Isabelle sets me to the task. And so I sit on the floor and listen. I lift the floorboards up and I listen. I peer into the lockers and listen. Nothing. After an hour I figure it out. There is a space between the inner lining of a locker and the outside. And then I remember! While installing a grab pole in the galley I once dropped a bold that space. Of course I couldn’t get it out without taking the entire locker apart so I left it there. The culprit has been found.

But what to do about it. It is still impossible to reach so we throw rolled up piece of toilet paper in the cavity in the hope it will block the bolt and it did. And now the clacking sound is gone.

Sailing was great today, we found wind and we were doing 6-7 knots all the time. It would have been perfect if not for the rain. But I guess you can’t have everything.
