140 miles and one night at sea we finally anchored in the bay after sailing since 6am.  The next morning we motored to Parnu, what a wonderful find, its at the end of a 20 mile bay and looks very industrial on route but it’s a lovely little town with a wonderful  beach and holiday resort.  It has a laid back holiday atmosphere, the harbour master meets us and raises the Union Jack and tells us to pay before we go as we don’t know how many nights we are going to stay. 300 koon (20 to a Euro)

Lots of parks on route to beach

Loads of lovely old houses

Start of the race from our pontoon

Ouch!!! 2 boat crash at the start

Parnu high street

Cycling back to the boat

Busy beach we had 30 degrees

Lunch at the Sunset restaurant

Estonia’s first opening bridge since getting their freedom from the Russians

We watched the opening ceremony, the mayor cut the ribbon and brass band played then the yachts sailed through for the first time ever to the river up to town.

Picnic time

Phew lots of steps with your bike…

Where’s all the traffic !!! this was a major motorway.

Ate at the yacht club every night, had Herrings, sour cream, red raw onions and boiled potatoes and Kiss apple cider – Heaven. Sad to leave one of our favourite place!!.
