We did the ubiquitous theme park today, we really felt we couldn’t come to Florida without doing one. So leapt in the rental, a quite nice Dodge SUV, and headed west down I-4 about 50 miles to International Drive in Kissimmee. We selected Universal Studios and did the old park with less rides that turn you upside down, dislocate your vertebrae and bring up your breakfast. It was fine, quite fun, but not really our scene and expensive UDS$ 270 for the 2 of us for 1 park for 1 day, excluding the rental, the marina charge, the gas and the breakfast at Denny’s – time to go back on anchor and catch fish me thinks.

Perfect day for the park, about 23 deg and not too sunny and a drive along Ocean Beach Boulevard, with water on both sides  – don’t you so want that as your address !! We will probably leave on Sunday as we have no wind tomorrow – next stop Palm Beach
