Well this pace is a surprise, coming in from the ocean it looks pretty unpleasant, a bit like arriving in Port Sunlight, with this small town set between these 2 huge factories, trees going in one end and paper coming out the other.

We arrived on Tuesday night and Wednesday was really windy, blowing 35kts across the anchorage, so we stayed on board and did a few jobs, re arranging spares and provisions. Then Thursday was less wind but bloody cold, only 8 deg overnight, but we took the new tender into town and did Center Street and hit the Waterside Grill and as the sun came out it got warmer and we planned to take the bikes out on Friday and clock up a few miles.

We met a great couple on a small 31ft boat “Jennie B” Brian and Michelle who are mutual friends of Spruce. After a long chat in town we invited them on board Friday night for a drink and the Amel “Brittany de la Mer” arrived with Bob and Suzanne at sunset to anchor astern of us.
