We left Union Island on 26 and sailed down to Hillsborough Bay and anchored at Sandy Island, which was not recommended as an overnight anchorage. So at 1611 we upped anchor and went around into the much more sheltered Tyrell Bay. The morning saw an early start for a 40M sail “ and I called for anchors up at 07:28 “ which worked well and we set off 4 minutes ahead of schedule - possibly a first for the Parry Clan. We had a lovely final sail for Steve, Di and Hollie in 20kts, gusting 26kts with 1 reef in the main and playing the reefs in and out of the yankee.

We had already called ahead to reserve a berth in the marina for 10 days so that we could get our sail and rigging issues sorted and as we entered the bay the Queen Mary 2 steamed in ahead and anchored off St Georges in front of us. So a great time coming to an end and S,D & H will get some last minute rays by the marina pool (do you have one at Royal Clarence Marina yet?) and do some sightseeing before heading back to the UK.
