Set off at 09.30 after the 2 boats that had moored up out side of us finally got moving, had another lovely sail up the Ijsselmeer for 17 miles, practically on 1 tack, perfect conditions, some of the best sailing ever – flat water, steady breeze and sunshine – no lobster pots, no barges or cargo ships and no hooray Henrys on Sunsail yachts

We arrived at a lovely secure marina moored up along the wall, with a typical Harbour master, lots of grey hair growing from everywhere, and a peak skippers cap, delightful old chap and very helpful. But with the usual 50 cents for the electric meter we kept running out of the things.

Another Town Quay in Hindeloopen

Sunset – Ahh !

A very small village, with small deli and not much else, went for a walk it took all of 10 mins to walk around.  The marina had pool which Hollie and Di swam in, too many kids for me, played basket ball with Hollie and dribbled lots.

29th April, it was our 8th wedding anniversary today, neither of us had bothered as we where away, but Steve, Di and Hollie made us a card with pictures of Suzie Too sailing and bought us 2 Dutch love mugs.

We had lunch at the lovely little marina restaurant to celebrate the day before we set sail once we had fuelled up.

Best Regards
