Our position is 48:24:20S 60:17:50W
It is 05:50 in the morning.
We now have a working propeller again. The "wet suit" used for the diving worked very well. It was made out of raingear and warm underwear. With six degrees in the water it was necessary to keep some of the cold out. As it worked out I wasn't really cold at all. It took quite an effort to get rid of the line, but now the propeller works fine again. Not that we have needed it much. There has been steady wind albeit from the north. The boat is heeling quite a bit, but the sea is still surprisingly calm.
Right now there is a beautiful sunrise over the Atlantic. It is still quite cold down in these latitudes, and the heater is on. I am sitting here on my morning watch with a cup of coffee and the PC. After this I will get a new weather forecast. There seems to be a low coming up north before we get in, but it is still a few days before any decisions have to be made on that one.
