This is the jump-off point for Palawan in the Philippines. Tiga is a small island inhabited by a few fishing families. The lifestyle is on the simple side with the fishing taking place in dugouts. The people came out to greet us looking for some food like rice and pasta. They paddled off with a little and in return gave us three tiny fish - just now on the grille. Necessity is not really well stocked since we are mostly doing daysailing.
Yesterday we checked out of the country in Kudat, not the most modern of Malaysian towns. Tomorrow we cross the Balabac strait between Borneo and the Philippines.
