To be honest we have now been here for four days.
This is a nice marina at a normal price with a number of other cruisers. This is the type of place where you meet up again with old cruising friends. Carol and Richard that we met in San Jose came up here by car, and we spent a couple of days together. We truly enjoyed that. They are now going to take their own boat up here. There are also other old acquaintances, so it is quite social.
La Paz feels more like the real Mexico. Friendly, mostly quite nice and with a splendid seaside avenue. The stores are good and the restaurants even better. Prices are low. This the fist place that we have got a good and positive feeling for Mexico. It is also the first place where the temperature has been a bit "tropical". Tomorrow we will be headed out and in a week or so across to Mazatlan. Mazatland has the third biggest Carnival in the world with the parade on 6. March. We plan to be there.
