Sometimes you get considerably more wind than the forecast. That is the case right now. We were promised 20-25, but it is blowing more like 30-35. That makes a difference, not least to the sea state. Well, this is the roaring forties.
We should be in the fjords in about nine hours, and that seems to fit well with the tide. That is very important since the tide can run up to eight knots. This is not a place where you want to get that wrong with wind against tide. It should be safe though, and we will call the lighthouse at Pta Corona before going in. We will post more once we are inside. At the moment we are busy sailing.
