Another milestone, we are in Cairns. The weather has not been very good, but the sail up here was an easy one. Cairns feels a little different from the other Australian towns we have been to. This is a little bit more "frontier". We look forward to being tourists in and around the city. The cable cars and plank walks atop the canopy of the rain forest is famous.
Magnetic Island was good. We did not see any wild koalas, but plenty of "domesticated" ones available for cuddling. We also cuddled a croc and a couple of lizzards. Fun place. During the walk we did again see snakes, among them the death adder. What a name. More later from Cairns and surroundings. Tomorrow is 17. May (Norwegian Constitution Day), and the day after Per-Henning comes to visit.
