We have done the small towns from Sydney to Brisbane. All were nice and all were different. In Queensland they are of course very different, particularly Surfers Paradise. This paradise is very tall, 85 stories in places. It must be interesting to have a holiday flat at that altitude. The inland waterways from the Gold Cost to Brisbane on the other hand was only fast. Speeds less that 40 knots were viewed as puny. Necessity made only 6 and was mostly considered a fixed landmark by water scooters and more serious high speed vessels. Well, we made it without being hit by any of these rather vulgar contraptions. Here we are on the river in between the hi-rises in central Brisbane. The shopping is less than 10 minutes dinghy/walking distance. We will be back with more.
