We have left Opua and we are now nearly one day out towards Savu Savu, Fiji. We have 1030 nm to go. New Zealand was a wonderful experience, but we are glad that all the tempting chandleries are now behind us. We all know that there is no limit to what can be spent on a boat.
Although we are headed for Savu Savu, we may stop at Minerva reef. Rumors have it that there are enormous numbers of lobsters waiting. During our last visit it was blowing too much to leave the boat.
We currently have very light winds with slight seas and the forecast is good for the entire voyage. That, however, is 7 days into the future so nothing is really certain. In the meantime we are occupied with all sorts of small projects and not least with chatting with other boats on VHF and SSB. In short, all is well.
