When we first started this adventure I worried about how we could beat the paradise that we were in at the time. I then realised that places and days don’t get better necessarily, just different.
Yesterday was a wonderful day. The sea is calm and deep, deep blue. The sun is warm and the sky clear of clouds. The wind is behind us, if not quite strong enough. True we aren’t really going fast enough but we aren’t in a hurry.
As we approached the Greenwich Meridian I thought that someone should be towed over the line in the bosun’s chair. Livia volunteered halfway as soon as I started to talk about it! So we launched her off the back of the boat and she loved it! We all had a play afterwards. It is one of the great things to do on passage.
As the day closed a pod of dolphins closed on us and played for awhile. It is always a great day when we see dolphins.
It looks likely that we will be in on Tuesday, Slow Flight and the French look likely to make it Monday
