The morning we motored through a flat calm, the sea was mirror calm. I was happily making water. Then around 14.30, the expected SW20-25 arrived and we have spent the last five hours crashing into three metre waves with only a double reefed genoa. Not untypical to have such dramatic changes to conditions. We are only expecting this to last for six to twelve hours and then switch back to the SE....here's hoping for nearer six.
Other than that all is very well aboard and as a crew we are having fun and working well together.
Poor Star Charger is taking a bit of a battering, more of that later. She is of course still rock solid and looking after us superbly.
Fair winds
