Three days in and we are creeping west. The wind has barely been above 15 knots and often around 10 or 12. So we are struggling to make 5 knots much of the time. Still the sea hasn’t been too bad!
We have had our fair share of rain! The main use of radar on our boat was is to spot squalls and rain. Sometimes it helps you avoid getting wet, other times just confirms that you will be wet for awhile!
We are using a South African guy called Des to help us with our weather routing which is good. Although Alison has a satellite device that actually works so we do get some forecasts that way too
Rain has returned....
