We arrived and dropped anchor at 09:30 on Wednesday, six days after leaving Cape Town. Our arrival was in fog and the coastline around here I s so low that we couldn’t even pick it up on the radar! Fortunately our friends Kimi and Trevor (Slow Flight) were in before us and had their AIS on, so we found them and anchored close by.
Interesting weather in Walvis Bay, it seems that every morning is foggy and calm, then as afternoon approaches the sun comes out and the wind strengthens.
We have a number of boat jobs to do, not least being the generator, which won’t start.
Hoping to be here about ten days and do a few trips inland.
Fair winds
