A week at anchor...

Well not quite, but a week since we were last in a marina. We are now somewhere between Menorca and France "40.46.10N 03.45.28E". Off to meet Barry and Tracy and then Josh and Becky. We will be back to Menorca it was beautiful and lovely quiet anchorages.
Sadly the forecast southerly wind hasn't materialised in fact we have no wind at all so powered by the Iron Tops'l. This did mean that we were able to barbecue on the go for the first time! Quite a strange experience watching the water rush by below my sausages...
We should be in France soon. Another Country to add to our list,
Still must return to my night watch...there are fishing boats around, thank God we have radar...
The sun is setting on our second night t sea, Gill did best last night seeing a whale, complete with water spout!! All I saw was a lone shooting star...
We have stopped the boat several times, to go swimming, to eat dinner, to sit and admire the sea and the colours. There is no rush, we don't really want to arrive till tomorrow morning. A night at sea is free, the marina...who knows. It has been a steady passage so little jobs have been done along the way. Though I still haven't mastered this new style of splicing, it just doesn't work for me. I must be doing something fundamentally wrong!
The 10 o'clock log approaches, then only two hours till I am off for my three hours sleep...
Take care
